About Us
For 75+ years, we have walked alongside families who refused to choose between faith and excellence.
Founded in 1949, the school was established to help children grow academically while strengthening the values and foundations taught at home. Today, Immaculate Conception School serves students starting at 6 weeks old through sixth grade, welcoming families of all faith backgrounds into a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
⸻ THE BEGINNING
Our Story
Since Immaculate Conception School was founded in 1949, we have offered a faith-filled, rigorous education that is open to all children. We lived out that commitment in 1966 when we invited the Oblate Sisters of Providence to teach here. As a Baltimore-based order of African American nuns, they had been denied opportunities elsewhere, but we welcomed them to join our community. Today, we continue that tradition of academic excellence and Christian welcome. While rooted in our Catholic faith, we draw children and families of many faiths, languages, races and ethnicities. Together, we build a microcosm of a world where peace and justice can prevail. We’re a small school, yet like the Gospel mustard seed, we love to see our students grow strong in knowledge and service to God and neighbor.
Over the years, we have expanded our programs to meet the needs of our community. In 2016 Immaculate Care for Kids Early Learning Academy was opened. This program houses our early childhood programs and year-round faith-based childcare.Beginning Learners (36 -48 months), and Young Explorers (4 – 5 years) School age (5-12). In 2020 our Immaculate Care for Kids early childhood programs expanded to include Curious Wonders (starting at 6 weeks-36 months).
Partnering with parents who choose to homeschool their children, we now offer opportunities for these children to enroll in non-core classes. These offerings may vary from year-to-year but could include Art, Spanish. Physical Education, Music, STEM Discovery, Media, Technology.
OUR MISSION
Together We Build Faith, Develop Knowledge, and Practice Service.
Immaculate Conception Catholic School forms children in faith, knowledge, and service. We believe every child is created in the image of God and called to grow in wisdom, virtue, and joy. Our teachers know each child personally and support their growth in meaningful, intentional ways.
ICCS is a parish school rooted in Catholic tradition, strengthened by strong academics, and committed to forming children who think clearly, act with integrity, and love generously.

Thank you for taking the time to explore Immaculate Conception Catholic School. I know how weighty this decision feels; you're not just picking a building where your child will spend their days. You're choosing who will walk beside them as they grow, who will shape how they see themselves, their faith, and their future. That's not a decision to take lightly, and we don't take it lightly either.
Maybe you've toured schools where your child felt like one more name on a roster. Maybe you've wondered whether it's actually possible to find a place that takes academics seriously and takes your child's heart and soul just as seriously, not one or the other, but both. I want you to know that place exists, and we've spent generations building it.
Everything we do here is guided by one mission: Together We Build Faith, Develop Knowledge, and Practice Service. It's not a slogan on our wall; it's the lens through which every lesson, every conversation, and every relationship at ICCS is shaped.
At ICCS, your child will be known, not just their name, but their strengths, their struggles, their curiosities, and the gifts God gave uniquely to them. Our teachers don't just teach subjects; they teach children, and they know the difference. Your child will be loved in a community small enough to notice when they're having a hard day and strong enough to help them push through it. And your child will be encouraged to grow, in mind, heart, and spirit, because we believe those three things were never meant to be separated.
I won't ask you to take my word for it. I'll ask you to come see it. Visit our classrooms. Meet our teachers. Stand in the same hallways your child would walk every day, and feel for yourself the warmth and purpose that define this community.
Your child belongs here. I hope you'll come find out why.
With gratitude,
Sharon Voege
