For 75+ years, we have walked alongside families who refused to choose between faith and excellence.

Founded in 1949, the school was established to help children grow academically while strengthening the values and foundations taught at home. Today, Immaculate Conception School serves students starting at 6 weeks old through sixth grade, welcoming families of all faith backgrounds into a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Our Story

SINCE

1949

Since Immaculate Conception School was founded in 1949, we have offered a faith-filled, rigorous education that is open to all children. We lived out that commitment in 1966 when we invited the Oblate Sisters of Providence to teach here. As a Baltimore-based order of African American nuns, they had been denied opportunities elsewhere, but we welcomed them to join our community. Today, we continue that tradition of academic excellence and Christian welcome. While rooted in our Catholic faith, we draw children and families of many faiths, languages, races and ethnicities. Together, we build a microcosm of a world where peace and justice can prevail. We’re a small school, yet like the Gospel mustard seed, we love to see our students grow strong in knowledge and service to God and neighbor.


Over the years, we have expanded our programs to meet the needs of our community. In 2016 Immaculate Care for Kids Early Learning Academy was opened. This program houses our early childhood programs and year-round faith-based childcare.Beginning Learners (36 -48 months), and Young Explorers (4 – 5 years) School age (5-12). In 2020 our Immaculate Care for Kids early childhood programs expanded to include Curious Wonders (starting at 6 weeks-36 months). 

Partnering with parents who choose to homeschool their children, we now offer opportunities for these children to enroll in non-core classes. These offerings may vary from year-to-year but could include Art, Spanish. Physical Education, Music, STEM Discovery, Media, Technology.

  • Does my child need to be Catholic to attend?

    No. Our school welcomes all of God's children regardless of religious affiliation.

  • Is there any form of tuition assistance?

    Yes! We believe cost should not be a barrier to a great education, and scholarships are available to help with the cost of tuition. We also have a uniform closet with new and gently used uniforms available free of charge. In addition, we have a limited number of new lunchboxes and backpacks available for students who need them.

  • Is there family involvement?

    Yes! In addition to regular communication and meetings with teachers, we host family nights and activities throughout the year.

  • Is the campus secure?

    The safety and well-being of your children is a top priority. Exterior and classroom doors are kept locked and are only opened to approved staff, parents, or guardians. We have a video intercom system and exterior security cameras. All staff, faculty, and volunteers undergo rigorous background checks and fingerprinting.

  • Do you offer bus transportation?

    Yes. Bus transportation is available through the Three Rivers Public Schools system.

  • Do you have sports programs?

    Yes! Our students are able to participate in a variety of sports through the SJB Christian League.

  • Do you offer discounts for multiple children?

    Yes. After the first student's tuition, each additional student receives a discounted rate.

  • Can I volunteer to help at the school?

    Yes! We welcome the support of volunteers at our school. There are a variety of ways to help, including the IC Booster parent group, annual fundraising activities, school clean-up events, and more.
